As I realised what I needed was an app, I quickly started looking for knowledge.
Of course I don't know a thing about what are key components of a successful app. More important even, I didn't even know what things are called in 'app' world.
What I did, and what I suggest you do too is finding a person that can help you understand your own app-idea. Get formilliar with app-jargon. Know what a 'shell' is, how in-store purchases are different from website purchases. Why, for example your app-store might take 30% on one product, but allow you to sell the next product at about 95% margin.
Surround yourself with people you know. I went to a dutch advise company called 'pick my brain'. Marion de Groot really helped me understand the basics of terminology, and for that I am forever grateful. Not just that - she started with the question: do you really NEED an app, or do you just want an APP! Because there is a hug difference in how you would aproach the whole process.
I know I really NEED an app - just because what I want to do envolves lots of 'on the spot' engagement of the tribe with me - and of the tribe with each other.
And thats why I started this journey...
